The high drainage capacity of the soil causes water stress in the vineyard, which results in wines with a high concentration of polyphenols and the silicates are absorbed by the roots of the vineyard from the granitic soil, obtaining concentrations of around 40 mg/l. The combination of polyphenols and silicates make a mixture that has proven highly effective for good bone health and prevention of osteoporosis.
